Inventory can be updated under the Inventory Detail page for a specific piece of inventory in the Trakref V4 software.
The option to Edit is limited to specific user groups in trakref. The option to manually edit inventory should only be used when a change cannot be documented through a service record entry. For example fields such as Operational Status, Material Type, and Capacity can all be updated through a service record entry.
1. To Edit a piece of inventory, first navigate to the Inventory Detail page. The Inventory Detail page can be accessed by:
- Locating the inventory on the Inventory List page through the use of filters, then selecting the Inventory Name from the Inventory List
- Using Global Search to locate the inventory, then selecting the Inventory Name from the search results
2. On the Inventory Detail page, select the EDIT button located near the top right corner of the page
The option to EDIT under Inventory is limited to specific user groups in trakref. If you do not see the EDIT button in the upper right section of the Inventory Detail page, you may not have the appropriate permissions to complete this action. If you do not see this option but need to update an Inventory item, contact the Administrator for the account. If you don’t know who the Administrator is, please reach out to Trakref Support by clicking the Support button in the bottom right corner.
4. User is redirected to the Edit Inventory workflow.
5. Fields that are shaded (identified in orange below) cannot be updated through this workflow. If you need to edit one of these fields, please reach out to Trakref Support by clicking the Support button in the bottom right corner.
6. Complete the Edit Inventory form to edit any field that was previously missing or required updated information.
The option to manually edit inventory should only be used when a change cannot be documented through a service record entry. For example, fields such as Operational Status, Material Type, and Capacity can all be updated through a service record entry.
7. After completing the Edit Inventory form, locate and select SAVE button at the top of the form
8. Window will appear confirming Inventory successfully updated.
9. After Inventory is updated, from the popup window user has the option to navigate to another page based on their unique need.
- VIEW INVENTORY DETAILS - select this option to return to the Inventory Detail page for the inventory created.
- CREATE NEW INVENTORY - select this option to return to the Create Inventory workflow if another piece of inventory needs to be created.
- X - select the X in the top right corner to return to Inventory List page
