Following the creation of a Work Order, the next step is to add service events to the work order. While Work Order provides general details related to a visit or series of visits, the Service Event represents the specific work performed by a technician, to a an asset, during a single visit.
Trakref's position is that 1 Visit = 1 Service Event. If a repair takes multiple visits, a Service Event should be documented for each visit.
What type of Service Events can be recorded in Trakref? Trakref offers several types of Service Events and each type of Service Event collects information specific to the service performed. Below are 6 types of Service Events
- Service or Leak Repair – Service to document the repair of leak, the opening of a refrigerant circuit, and/or the handling of refrigerant (Install/Recover) during service
- Install – Service to record the initial charge of a new system
- Reinstall – Service to record the initial charge of a mothballed or temporarily shutdown system
- Shutdown/Mothball – Service to document the retirement (Shutdown) of a system, or the temporary disablement of a system (Mothball) while awaiting future service for repair.
- Retrofit – Service to record the conversion of a system from one type of refrigerant to a new type of refrigerant (Recover/Install)
- Air Filter Change Out – Service to document an air filter changeout performed during a scheduled maintenance visit
- Leak Inspection – Service to document a scheduled leak inspection to a system, or a group of systems.
