1. To edit a work order, you must first navigate to the Work Order Detail page.

a. This can be done using the Global Search in the top center of your trakref page, or by navigating to the Work Orders page in the sidebar menu. Select the respective work order you want to edit.
2. From the Work Order Detail page, locate the EDIT button near the top right
a. Work Order must be in an Open status to Edit

3. From the Edit Work Order screen, users have the option to update fields like: Work Order Type, Work Order Number, Purchase Order Number, Scheduled Date and Description.

4. Fields that can’t be edited will be grayed out. If a value is wrong in one of these fields, please reach out to the Trakref Support team using the Support button.
a. If at any point you change your mind and decide not to edit the work order, you can close the Edit Work Order window by selecting the X to the left of Edit Work Order. This will redirect user back to the Work Order detail page.

5. From the Edit Work Order screen, complete the changes you need to make
a. In this example, we want to update a work order recently created because the Work Order Number was entered incorrectly. The work order number entered at setup is 2023-0405 CU2, but the correct value is 2023-0405 CU5.

6. Once edits are made, select the UPDATE button to save the edits.
7. Edits will save and you will return to the Work Order detail page for that work order
